You weren’t made to constantly be on the go, yet many of us feel as though rest is a luxury or even a weakness.

If you’re feeling burnt out, disconnected from your body, or find yourself unable to rest and take time for yourself, stuck in survival mode, this is your invitation to soften.

Rewriting Rest is a gentle, trauma-informed space for women who are tired of pushing through and ready to explore another way—one that honours their nervous system, invites calm, and reconnects them with themselves.

Through a blend of guided meditation, body-based (somatic) trauma-release practices, and honest, supportive sharing—you’ll be held in a space where rest isn’t something to earn… it’s something you deserve and need in order to thrive.

This is for you if:

You’re constantly tired—even after sleep—and crave a deeper kind of rest

You struggle to switch off or slow down, even when you want to

You feel like you’re always “holding it together” for others

You’re curious about somatic healing but don’t know where to start

You’re ready for a space that feels safe, soft and real—without pressure or performance

You want to feel more connected to your body and less stuck in your head

You’re curious about gentle body-based ways to release stress, overwhelm, or held emotion

You long for genuine rest, calm and clarity—not just surface-level self-care

You want to leave feeling grounded, lighter, and more like you again

Testimonials

omg WOW, today was absolutely dreamy. I just loved every part of it. I went away and still had a busy life to get back to, but I still felt so chilled all evening. Loveddd it! Cannot wait for the next one ✨🌸🙏🏼

Just wanted to thank you for yesterday's session, afterwards me and one of the ladies from the group went for a long walk and chat down to the beach 😊. I felt so relaxed and full and for the first time in a long time I didn't feel bad for going to bed when I felt tired 😊. Woke up after 12 hours of sleep today and instead of the usual groginess I feel so awake and rested, both, in body and mind 😀.  Thank you once again and can't wait for another event 😊 xx

I recently attended my first rewriting rest event I was a bit apprehensive about what to expect as I didn’t know anyone attending but Sophie and Ellie made me feel welcome and included the entire time. Once we got started we worked though the session it was relaxed and set at my own pace after the session I can honestly say I felt lighter, refreshed and re energised. It was a brilliant experience and one I will be re booking onto. I was nervous about trying something new but was very happy I took the leap xx

FAQs

Your Questions Answered: Enhancing Your Journey to Restorative Rest

Do I need any experience to come?

Not at all. This space is beginner-friendly and designed especially for people who are new to this kind of work. You don’t need to know anything about meditation, somatics, or trauma healing—we’ll gently guide you through everything.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. You don’t need any special equipment or fancy outfits. We recommend wearing something comfy and bringing a bottle of water. We’ll provide everything else you need, including tea, snacks, and mats.

What if I don’t feel comfortable sharing?

That’s totally okay. Sharing is always optional, and you’ll never be put on the spot. This is a gentle, consent-based space where you can participate in a way that feels right for you.

Is this a therapy session?

No, this isn’t group therapy—but it is therapeutic. You’ll be guided through trauma-informed practices that are designed to support your nervous system and emotional wellbeing, but it’s not a replacement for 1:1 therapy or medical support.

What is TRE®?

TRE® stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises—a simple series of movements that help your body naturally shake off deep muscular tension, stress, or trauma. It’s a gentle, self-regulating practice that supports your nervous system to unwind and return to a state of calm.

Will I have to shake or do anything weird?

You’ll be fully guided, and everything is done at your own pace. You’ll never be forced into anything that doesn’t feel safe or right for you

Is TRE® safe for beginners?

Yes. TRE® was developed to be a self-help tool that anyone can use. We’ll guide you through a very gentle, trauma-informed introduction that’s accessible for beginners, and you’re always in control. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire beforehand in order to ensure that you are ready for TRE ®

Is TRE® the same as therapy?

No. TRE® is a somatic (body-based) practice—not a talking therapy. It supports your nervous system physically, helping to release stress and stored tension, but it’s not a substitute for professional mental health support.
